Art Art Intensive – Papermaking 2020
In this remote version of the workshop participants used a variety of techniques and explored various materials to create art. The workshop focused on skinning armatures with thin sheets of abaca and using pulp molding techniques to create 3D work. We learned to build simple deckle molds for pulling sheets of paper. Everyone use professional marbling methods to create images on handmade abaca/kozo paper for a group project to build a Covid-19 quilt. Below is the model for the quilt based on participants’ work and their individual work, as well.
